Chris Isaacs, former Assistant Chief Investigation Officer in HM Customs & Excise (now HM Revenue & Customs), Director of Tax Investigations at PwC and Head of Tax at Irwin Mitchell Solicitors - probably the most experienced and successful investigation adviser in business today.
Phillip Henwood, barrister and ATT qualified with a Diploma in French law (Strasbourg). Previously with KPMG and Irwin Mitchell Solicitors. Phillip is a specialist in VAT advice, compliance and planning and will represent clients at the Finance & Tax tribunals.
Cedric Andrew, former Deputy Chief Investigation Officer in HMRC and before retiring in 2009, MTIC National Coordinator. Cedric has unrivalled expertise in all aspects of criminal and civil cases involving VAT, customs and excise duties.
Most recently Cedric was responsible for eliminating MTIC fraud in carbon credits. He was also responsible for the successful measures to reduce the VAT losses in the trading of mobile phones, notably the introduction of the due diligence tests for purchasers. Cedric has extensive experience of dealing with multi -national organisations and financial institutions to improve their compliance procedures and fraud proof their systems in respect of indirect tax activities.
Cedric is a former Chairman of the both the World Customs Organisation Commercial Fraud Working Group and the EU VAT Fraud Information & Intelligence Forum and is on the IMF panel of indirect tax experts. Kevin Roger is an Indirect Tax consultant with wide knowledge of the EU Customs, Excise and VAT environment across many industries and multinational clients, with primary focus on customs and international trade issues. Kevin has extensive experience working with and configuring tax automation solutions, project management and support, and has SAP Certification on Sales and Distribution (ECC 5.0). Kevin’s main areas of expertise are tariff classification and classification systems, customs valuation and transfer pricing and origin. He also is familiar with non-VAT indirect tax structures, including US Sales and Use Tax and the Brazilian indirect tax regime.
